hey there.
I currently own a pioneer a105 and so far, touch wood, no problems burning ritek discs ever, and majority of princo discs (bulkpaq and datawrites) burn perfectly fine, with no completely unreadable sectors, when I use the old software Vob Instant CD/DVD to burn at UDF 1.02 and I then use software called CDCheck to verify files on disc with those on HD.
Now I'm looking at upgrading my writer to the new NEC's ND-2500 8x burner. My mate has a pioneer a106 writer and when putting vob instant cd/dvd on that, after he had problems with nero etc as bad burning software, he could only choose manually a driver of a105 for it, as it didn't autodetect his a106. Now has anyone or could anyone please try their NEC ND-2500 to see if it will work the software please, as I hear they're meant to be v compatable writers for cheap and expensive discs (riteks are cheap enough now...but even so...), and I dont want to be introducing more problems by having to move across to the often heard problematic Nero for burning etc.
thanks in advance, Tuck
