Hi,

i have made a little tool in order to mux .ssa / .srt / .sub directely in the .rmvb container.

a big great at gabest who have added this option in the realmediasplitter.

all u need is select the input .rmvb file , the desired subtitle(s) and mux them , when u will play the new .rmvb created in a directshowplayer (mpc, wmp, bsplayer ....) vsfilter will display them.

URL :
-----
http://dark.pluridis.org/downloads/RMVB_SubtitleMuxer.zip

i have also add a .reg file to setup dvobsub to display them automaticly.

PS: think to select dshow compatility to play realmedia file.

PS2: u need have the vb6 dll (u can find it on my siteweb in the "other" download section, follow my signature).

Bye.

Very interesting application, now i can have subtitles in .rmvb without those ugly SMIL files :D

1 bug report: on my pc if i click on rmvb file loader and then i select cancel in the appeared opendialog the application reports an error and crash.

1 feature request: can you add to the subtitle opendialog filter also .ass filetype?

Thanks

@ Kaiousama
yep no problem i will fix this bug and add .ass support :)

Ps: for the moment i think u can press : *.* when the dialogbox ask u for the input file.

@ damrod
because i prefer use the original container why should i convert a .rmvb file in .mkv only to have subtitle ? rmvb support , subtitle , heaac , soon chapters. (in my point of view) i don't need to use matroska i have already what i want.

Bye.

I can also say: Why doing that in matroska... rmvb can now do it, no?

There are several reasons that leads you to choose a container instead of another one. I choose .rmvb because my videos are in RV10 video codec and AAC audio, so for playback i only need to install Real codecs + RealMediaSplitter.
If i choose matroska container i would have to install Real codec + RealMediaSplitter + MatroskaSplitter.

So a tool like this is very useful in my case, maybe other people have different reasons... ^_^

If you already have to remux a file to add in subtitles, I don't see why you wouldn't use MKV. However, more options are better.

Probably I found a mirror (http://damrod66.free.fr/site/inc/).

Zip's MD5: 61B2107CC8A2787E06091EEC66F6A0B3
Zip's CRC32: E8AF6D1D

Original position (http://66.102.11.104/search?q=cache:fYvlqX05RPsJ:dark.pluridis.org/~darkangel/+RMVB_SubtitleMuxer.zip) (from Google's cache)

hum i don't know it doesn't display it in your case.

try to use the latest version of "Mediaplayer classic" and the latest version of VSFilter, and you could also try to disable/enable the buildin subtitle support of MPC.

Bye.

im using realplayer to view my rmvb. I have a rmvb movie file and its subtitle. So my question is, how can i mix/add the subtitle file in the rmvb movie, so that, i can watch the movie without the subtitle file (when i delete it)?
