compile dvd's

I want to compile some dvd's to make a kind of best off.. dvd.
Pick some songs from diverent dvd's en make a collection of these songs. And i want to cut som songs and edit them. For instance cut the announcement. How can i do this

Since you're brand new, I would recommend starting off slowly. What you want to do takes a great deal of knowledge of DVD structures and DVD authoring tools
