Can I avoid AV-sync problems if I capture in matroska-Format using virtualVCR-matroska (this should avoid every AV-sync problems) and save the .mkv-file using virtualdubmod in .avi-format? I need the avi-Format for DVD-mpeg4-Standalone-Player. Thanks for your replies in advance

If you have sync problems using AVI now, the reason for that is most likely dropped frames. However, this will make your resulting MKV files VFR ( Variable Framerate ), and thus not allow converting them into AVI files.
The only other reason i can think of explaining your sync problems when capturing into AVI, but still making the resulting files CFR, would be a heavily varying clocktime in your soundcard. Sorry i dont have better news ....

Thanks for your reply. I just try to capture in mkv -> perfect sync!
I don't have dropped frames I know the problem is my soundcard.
It's time that SA-DVD-Players support mkv.
