View Full Version : CLI File Mode split by VobId and stream processing

Hi Lightning,
not a very big deal but I noticed that stream processing in CLI mode doesn't work for File mode and split by VobId (3.1.9.0). This is the command line I used:
DVDDecrypter.exe /MODE FILE /SRC G: /DEST "E:\DEST" /DIRECT 0x2? 0xE? 0x80 /FILES VTS_01_1.VOB /SPLIT VOBID /START /CLOSE /OVERWRITE YES
The resulting VOBs had both audio streams (0x80 and 0x81) included. Manually from the GUI it works.

That's quite possible!
I've done so much to it since then, im sure ive fixed it.
Out of interest, is it only an issue when splitting by vobid or does it happen all the time? seems a little weird :-/
I did find some bugs ages ago with file naming so it could well have been that.

Ok, I lied!
I've just tried it and I can see where the problem is (was) - and have now fixed it. I dont think I've ever used /DIRECT in File mode. There's just no need for it really! Everything file mode is used for (where im concerned) needs unedited vobs. I'm sure at some point I must have checked it had copied all the streams over that I'd asked for... I dont think I'd looked for it copying ones it shouldnt! I expect the dvd I had in at the time only have a couple of streams and I'd set some on direct, some on demux and some on raw.
Doing it via the GUI would be ok becase it would have nulled out the other streams that existed but werent checked. Going via cli, the program doesnt know which streams exist beforehand and so doesnt know which ones arent 'checked' - therefore they all get copied into the VOB (if it exists). Had you have just done /DEMUX 0x2? 0xE? 0x80, you would have only got those 3 streams.
So anyway, you can probably see problem goes a bit deeper than you'd mentioned but it was enough to open my eyes!
Well spotted ;)

Well, in my case I wanted to split out an entire VTS by VobId because there were PGCs with angles and at the same time save some space by not including the audio streams that I'm not going to include in the reauthored disk anyway.
