After re-arranging my dvd collection to seperate the "new releases" from the "weekly's" a thought occured - should I be storing these movies vertially, or laying flat? - They are all in dvd keep-cases (not jewel cases).
I'd previously stored vertically, however the bookcase im keeping the weekly's wastes a lot of space should dvd's be vertially stored (eg big gap at the top :) and i'd put them all laying flat (horozontally) to fit more in...

if they're laying horozontally, wouldn't the ones on the bottom be the hardest to get (jenga).
i would say vertically, because it looks better, but my opinion shouldn't matter in helping you decide; which do you think is more convenient?

Hi Dani82,
Yes the ones at the bottom are a pain to get, and its a pain putting 'new' ones in order (alphabetically)... but I can fit more in the limited space if I lay them flat.. It does look nicer with them standing vertically but until i convince the other half I need a new book(dvd)case i'll have to make do :)
What im concerned with is whether they will warp over time being stored horozontally?

AFAIK the recommended is vertical due to warping or something. But this topic has been covered before, I advice you to use the search button for more specific info.

Stand them vertically and then fill in all the extra space by placing more on top horizontally. :D :D :D :D
