I've got a strange problem with the sound on DVD's I backed up which seems to be tied to the DTS channel. When I try to play the DVD in my Toshiba SD-3750 player I get no sound. If try it on my HTPC, and open it with DVDshrink and switch between the channels (DTS, Dolby 5.1 and Dolby Stereo) I also get no sound when I choose DTS. But if I put it in my HTPC it works fine using PowerDVD even when I cycle through all the channels, including DTS.

Has any one else seen this type of problem?

I figured part of it out. My burned DVDs selected DTS as the main audio channel but I don't have a DTS decoder yet. Can I still back up DVDs but make dolby 5.1 the default?
