I found some mpeg4 capture card in vcdhelp, most of them claims that they can capture the video in mpeg4 format in real time. Do you think I should give it a try? Or should I just use some cheap capture card and use iuVCR to convert it to xvid?
If I use iuVCR, can I capture the video in real time(640x480)? My sys is P4 3.2.

The only one I know of that produces fully Divx-compliant MPEG-4 is the ATI AIW series with the MMC 8.8 update.
However, no matter what capture card you choose, you'll always get better quality by re-encoding with 2 pass VBR.

if its mpeg-4 compliant its mpeg-4 compliant, its easy as that

Poor choice of words: read "divx compatible", and will play on most standalone players that support mpeg4.
