i'm using nero 6.3.0.2 i set it to overburn. this is what i did.

file-preferences-expert features
enable overburn disc-at-once
maximum cd length 82min 57sec 74frm
enabled clear archive bites of written files durning iso refresh
write cd

then i get the overburn screen coming up saying

total capacity for burning 80:01:03 703mb
total capacity on disc 79:57:74 703mb
do you want to overburn. i said yes. but it fails to write. what can be the problem

the cd's i'm using are 700mb/80min
also tried other cds

Try as an alternative Burnatonce (http://www.burnatonce.com), works quite well for me when overburning is needed.

my MaximumCD length is set to 82min, other than that, it's the same as your; but make sure you burner supports overburning.

Yellow marker 79.59.59
Red marker 82.00.00

can this be your solution?

chuckman45,

I guess what you did is correct. So I suspect like Dani82 has said, check to see if your CD-Writer support overburn or not. To do that:

1. In action bar, select Recorder -> Choose Recorder
2. A Popup window pop up, and at the lower left corner will tell your chosen CD-burner will support overburn or not.

If it does support Overburn, then also make sure you turn-off the multisession. It is the same window with the "Burn-at-Once", but in the 'Multisession' tab. Just select 'No multisession'. This is essential if you want to overburn a data cd.

Cheers,
