I can only get about 4.4gb max of video on a 4.7gb disk ie about 95 minutes worth of video! all the disk makers claims 120 mins/disk. How can i squeeze more than 4.4gb on one disk?
I'm using Ulead moviefactory 2 to process teh vid file tehn DVD Clone to burn the dvd. I'm using NEC 1300A burner with the lastest firmware.

Dude you need to do some serious reading in the forums!
.
First spend some time in the one click dvd backup solutuions forum to learn how to "squeeze more".
.
You can put 120min or 220min or 360min etc, it just depends on the amount of compression you use. (bitrate)
.
The extra 300mb is for your TOC list (i think) the most you can burn is between 4.472-4.486(max). A dvd+r has a little less space than a dvd-r.
.
Check out the guides section and don't forget to read.:)

A point of clarification. A 4.7 GB DVD holds ~4,700,000,000 bytes. To put it in stupid NIST termonology, DVDR capacity is 4.7 Gigabytes or 4.37 Gibibytes (a Gibibyte being 1,073,741,824 bytes). The 4.37 GB is what you see on your PC.
120 minutes is the currently accepted and published capacity of a DVDR, but as mudda_t points out it isn't a hard and fast rule. Heck, if you wanted to go with VCD resolitions and bitrates, you could fit almost 8 hours on it. It's a bit like SP/LP/EP on VHS. If you want more video on the disk, you have to compress the video to a lower bitrate, and if you push the bitrate too far down the quality will degrade (hence the two hour recommendation).
