Hello,

I have a DVD with misplaced subtitles, so I need to move them before I burn the DVD. I tried a program calld "DVDFab", which according to its author would be able to move subtitles. However in the readme of DVDFab I read that the subs wouldn't work well in PowerDVD because of a bug in PowerDVD. That's both right and wrong. It's right because the subs don't work well in PowerDVD, but it's wrong because this is not because of some bug in PowerDVD because the subs don't work in WinDVD nor in my hardware player. So DVDFab is out of the question.

I suppose I need to demux all the VTS_01_X.VOB, then convert the subs to .bmp, then batch process all the .bmps, then remux everything together and then burn the disc. Is this correct?

What software do I need? Can VobEdit do the demuxing? What do I need to convert the subs to .bmps and is there a program that can batch process the bmps? Then I need to convert them back to .sups and remux everything (can IfoEdit do this?) before I burn the DVD.

Thanks in advance!

Yes! I think, the best way to do that is useing VobEdit to demux all the streams, once you have that you need a very important program (at least for me) "Str2Sup" there you can open a .sup or .str file and change the position (look in Global settings X1 and Y1) as you wish. Let me know if that's work.
Good luck!

Great! I'm gonna try that now. Will IfoEdit be able to do the re-muxing? (sorry for being such a n00b ;))

Of course. Use IfoEdit to re-mux all the files in "DVD Author". Then you put all your files (m2v, ac3 and of course, your edited sup) after you do that, you will start to deal with the subtitle colors...
Advice: Before you burn the movie on a DVD, take a look in the forum about how to edit the subtitle colors.
Good luck!
