I own IC 7 and recently purchased IC 8.
But the problem Ive had with Instant Copy 8 is that every movie I run through it, gives me errors. Let me explain these errors:
I set IC to high quality and the outcome is that the movie has errors in it. These errors are random distortions at some points of the movie. Green patches suddenly appearing. Huge blocks / pixlation instantiously appearing and then disappearing. Or the picture cracking/splitting in 1/2 then immediately reappearing.
Some of my standalone DVD players can play the DVD fine, with errors of course being shown. But some DVD players crash at the spot of the error. I tried mounting the images with Instant Copy Drive and playing in WIndows. Errors are visible, so that means its not the burner not burning correctly.
I never had this problem before with IC 7 or its patches. I used the big 3 for a few movies, and aside from the time it took, the movies came out perfectly.
Ive had these errors occur with updates to IC 8 (the updates/patches put out by Pinnacle).
I thought maybe the harddrive was being over worked, so I installed a 2nd harddrive to hold the movie image.
Im running Win XP, and thought maybe the processor is being over worked? 1.4 GHz. So I close every program except bare essentials. No difference.
Ive even run the same movie through IC 8 (reducing it to 85% of normal) 7 times already. Errors always occur. However, never in the same spot. Just randomly in the movie.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Is it just me? Its frustrating!!!
