I was woundering if there is a avs filter or any other kind of programs that fix shakes in old sources.
I got some anime dvds where the source are taken from old analog sources. At some scenes you see some shaking, like there is a small earthquake :D. Probably a error in the tapes or bad transfere from analog to digital.
So if there is a avs filter(s) whats it called and what are the settings you recommand.
If there are no avs filters, are there any progs or other methods?

Hope you guys can help

Thankz

Gunnar Thalin made a VirtualDub filter called DeShaker, but I can't really recommend any settings for an anime DVD source since I've only used it to smooth out DVcam captures.

Take a look (http://home.bip.net/gunnart/video/deshaker.htm) for yourself.

At least it's fairly well documented. :p

You know, I've been curious about something. Is there a AVS de-shaker? Because I'd be interested in talking with the author if he could incorporate a keyframe checker too. See, in dealing with shows with rapid scene changes (esp. anime), you essentially need to analyze each scene, and stop at each scenechange, otherwise it will throw off the analysis. So I was thinking, maybe by using a divx keyframe file (just encode a lq dummy divx file to obtain the keyframes), the program could be set to analyze each portion and then start anew once a keyframe appears? thoughts, suggestions?

I know aviutl has a scenchange detector filter in it in which u can set a keyframe to the scenchange u found and then u canexport those keyframes to a txt file. Maybe u can use that instead.
