Ok using TMPG what time should I be expecting only for half of movie 72000=50min
Here are the picks for the settings :) As I don’t see any improvements in video encoding it's the same like a AMD at2.3g did it in DVD2AVI 1.13g in 30-45mins My Pentium 3.4g does it in 10mins now but I don’t see any improvements in video :( I would say it the same in video as AMD at 2.3g but why is this happening any ideas?

I really appreciate your time THX heaps :)

The speed of the processor won't affect video quality, only how soon the encoding process will complete. Things that affect video quality are the quality of the source file, the compression method and level, size and aspect ratio of the output, stuff like that.

Ya I know but it does the 50mions in nearly 3h I mean my Amd at 2.3g did that should Intel be faster, like Amd encoding a 1.13g audio file took me 30-45min, Intel takes 10mins

I was expecting les time in encoding video but I dont:( Any Ideas why?:(

THX:)

My P4 2.8 dual hyperthreading processor does it in real time, ie 50 minute movie = 50 minute encoding. Even faster if I'm not doing anything else on my pc.
