Hello,
After trying to the best of my abilities reading various guides, I cannot successfully capture smooth video with my brand-new Huappage bt878 capture card. Any help is appreciated.
The situation is as follows:
* Athlon 1600+ with Samsung spinpoint 160gb. HDD defragged.
* Card installed in WinXP SP1 box with sourceforge drivers. No IRQ or other conflicts. I previously tried the drivers that came with the card and they worked even less well.
* Tried capturing using the software that came with the card. I was able to capture some very poor video.
* Virtualdub crashes every time.
* Vegas Video freezes and locks up the computer (I finally found something to lock up my computer). Note that I've been using Vegas to edit DV Cam video without any hiccups.
* Flycap (a simple freeware program) will capture video but it drops a lot of frames no matter what video size I specify. The processor is not at all stressed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nicholas
