alright... i've been using sirber's "realanime" to make rv10 encodes of my anime... and been using aac or ogg for my audio.... vobsub for my subtitles..... my problem is that realanime only wants avs files.... i've been using gordian knot to make these avs files for me.... but is there like a noobie guide to writing avs scripts??..... like "avs for dummies"?

Here's a link to Avisynth's homepage (http://www.avisynth.org/), you'll find a ton of useful info and tips there.

I still have Gknot write my original AVS files because I'm lazy and then I just edit them to do what I want. So don't feel bad. But as Ammck55 said, read the guides over at Avisynth.org. Those will help you understand it better, and also give you some more detailed explanations on the things you can do with avisynth.

There is no best... !!!

Example:

There a much different denoisers...

But every denoiser works at a different way... ;)

Try and see which you like most !!!

I for my self like VagueDeNoiser...

But Deen, MipSmooth and FluxSmooth also !!!

Depends on the source and the way I want to encode !!!

Use the search function to find threads about this filters !!!

-> Example thread for denoisers... !!! (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51181)

You just need to see if what you need done has been done in the past by searching for it. Also there are many filters that do the same task, but each do it in there own different way.

Soulhunter did a great job posting that link in the avisynth forum. Most people are concerned about noise and removing it. That test shows how much those filters will slow down your encode. Please not that Unfilter (-5,-5) does a decent job of removing noise and also take very little CPU power. Other things people like to do is blurring and sharpening.

Which is best is a question best left up to you, and that is why it is forum rule 12 :p
