Confused at maxFrameRate in rv10 job fle

Hello, everybody, I'm new in using producer.

I have encoded a avi file with two different maxFrameRate value.
The fps of the avi file is 23.976, and I encoded it with maxFrameRate = 23.976 and 30.
I have checked the two output rmvb files, but I can't tell the difference between the two rmvb files.

Does the maxFrameRate mean that the source fps will be changed if it is higher than maxFrameRate, and kept the same as source fps if lower then maxFrameRate?

maxFrameRate is the MAX fps. It can't go higher then maxFrameRate, but it can go lower than the source if you use DropDupe for exemple :) You sould always set it to 30.
