View Full Version : What adaptive noise filter does dscaler use

Hi i was just playing around with dscaler and was very much liked the result of the adaptive noise filter on my source mpg clip. what filter is it using and is their a avisynth version or equivalent?? or is there a way to get dscaler to save to mpeg or framserve??

Try experimenting with Blockbuster or AddGrain.

Um i was meaning adapting noise filter for "removing noise" dont them two filters you suggested add noise??

Oh - sorry - I don't know Dscaler, but I assumed it was Add-noise. My suggestion would be to search the threads here, and experiment on your own. There are a bunch of denoisers, and choosing between them is a matter of taste.

I think it's PeachSmoother.
It uses same variables. I also find it useful, just with some lower values.

Adaptive noise = Peach
Gradual noise = Grape
