I was wondering if there is a dvb card that can cap from digital cable and also be a tuner card? I want something to work along the lines of my ATI AIW 9700 Pro.
Is this possible as of yet? Or am I asking for too much?

I have never seen conformation of a cable provider in the USA that uses DVB-C. Most, all that I have found info for, use a bastard half brother of the DCII technology and Motorola set top boxes for digital cable. Chances of getting a pci tuner that can lock on this, very slim.

The closest you are going to get is a card with a hardware mpeg2 compression solution like the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 and PVR-350, but as someone who hangs out on a digital video msg board, you are not going to be happy with the quality of the compression.
