Can't play back divx on WMP9

Ok, having some trouble with WMP9, I can play back when I encode it with single pass...it plays fine. But when I encode with Multipass - 1st pass, it won't play. I get some error and then only the audio plays. It seems like I get smaller files with multipass so I want to use that. Anyone?

Hi-

The first pass of a 2 or multi-pass encode produces a small, useless, unplayable, dummy .avi. Go ahead and run the second pass to get a true .avi.

Ok so I select multipass-1st pass and then I hit save or export and it gives me an avi file....then what do I do? Do I reimport that avi file into my NLE and export it again as multipass-nth path? I'm using Premiere Pro

For your second pass, merely set the codec settings to Nth pass. Use the same source, same avi, same everything.
