hey

i have a movie in mpeg format.. but the sound is way off synchronization.. what do i need to do to correct it?

You can use TMPGEnc to demux your mpeg to video and audio streams. Then correct the audio with whatever sound editor can handle MP2 files. For instance, you might have to remove a bit from the beginning or add a silent fragment. Ensure that the resulting audio has the same length as the original one. Then mux the streams back together with TMPGEnc.

For cutting purposes, BeSplit probably is the most popular sound editor around here (free).

Cool Edit is a highly regarded sound editor with 30 days trial available.

Search the forums for "MP2 editor" to find the links as well as other sound editors.
