Hi everyone.
I am using Xvid a lot without any problems. It gives me excellent results. So i think i wouldn't even want from Xvid more than it dies alredy.
But...
I was trying to use it in some other manner and have some problems with quality ussues. Any recomendations are appreciated.
I encode movies to watch them on my palm. I have pretty slow Zire71 (144mhz cpu) Here are the settings i have to be stick to them:
resolution: 240x , 288x, 304x , or absol. maximum 320x240.
frame rate: 12fps, (with low res, like 240x it could be 15-16 max)
and most restricting - bitrate. It has to be about 140-170kbps (kilobits)- about 20 kilobytes per sec. I know it is very low, not becase otherwise i cannot store 2-hour movie on small 256mb sd-card. If i use higher bitrate - player for palm can't keep up reading data from sd-card which requires a lot cpu work :-(
Can anyone recommend me some settings for these conditions.
p.s. I am forced to use max 1 - bframe and dx50 4cc to play.
