Hello, I add few problems with autogk external subtitles and I finally found out how to resolv this. I hope this be usefull to someone.

The situation :

I was ripping the new Alien Quadrilogy 9 DVD Set using AutoGK 0.89 beta and DVD Decrypter 3.1.7.0 (I have read there this version was the only one supported, so I'm not using 3.1.9.0)

The first film, Alien, went fine, no problems at all. AutoGK did great with the correct subtitles. From the DVD I ripped the director's cut version. Notice that on this DVD, the director's cut is the first program chain.

The second film, Aliens, add a major subtitle problem. From one point in the film, they became totally out of sync with the film. After some investigations I found out that the ripper subtitles were from the Cinema version of the film, and not from the director's cut I've ripped.

So the question was why did it work with Alien and not with Aliens...
The answer is simple though not trivial to find :
On the tree films Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, the director's cut is on the DVD second program chain.
AutoGK seems to rip only subtitles from the first program chain, so here is the bypass :

Rip your film as usual, with external subtitles enabled to make AutoGK take in consideration subtitles overhead. Then use VobSub to extract the correct subtitle from the correct program chain. Rename the .sub and .idx files to make them match the name of your film. Rar the .sub generated file. Et voilą finished, good subtitles :)

solution is simpler: enable PGC and Angle in filenames in DVDDecrypter's IFO option. then latest AutoGK automatically picks up correct PGC for subs...

P.S. latest AutoGK works correctly with latest DVDDecrypter as well (please read history of the versions...)
