Hey everyone,

I'm new to the boards, so I hope this question is being posted in the proper place. I just downloaded TMPGEnc Plus 2.59.47 and was using it to multiplex some files (m2v & ac3). When doing this, there is a TYPE option, which I put on MPEG-2 Program VBR.

Is this right? I don't want any re-encoding done at all. I just want the m2v & ac3 files to be wrapped in a VOB. Is MPEG-2 Program VBR the right setting for this?

Thanks for the help.

I'm no "expert" but what I know is this:

There is no reencoding done when demuxing or muxing.

There are different formats on how an audio stream is muxed together with the video stream.

If you want a SVCD, the setting programm stream is definetely wrong.

I didn't do DVDs until now, but I think for *.vob file you need program stream setting.

You are using the wrong application. You need TMPGE DVDAuthor to make VOB files
