I'm looking for a feature I've seen on a few dvd's. Instead of looping menus, the menu freezes/stops at the end frame (you can see that by watching the timer on the dvd player, it stops at the end of the track, and stays there. I.e. if you got a menu which is 40 sec. long, it would stop at 40 sec. and look like a still menu). I've also seen this feature on fbi warnings and other warnings, where the timer is saying 00:00, but the menu only stays on for a given time, where can I set this to a still menu/show, and where can I set an option to stop a menu instead of looping?

Could it be that this is a second menu screen that has been jumped to, composed of just a still of the last frame?

No, i don't think so, because when the menu stops, it doesn't go to a new track, it stops the time counter on the last second (freezes at i.e. 40 seconds), thus in this example, 40 seconds would be the time counter in the display, but it doesn't count above 40 seconds.

when u apply a highlight in the video, in order to use it as a menu, u can define the "End Time of Select" of the highlight.

Ok, but would this "freeze" the menu at the end until you've selected a choice instead of looping the menu??

It should. Its something similar to the the options that Maestro has for defining the end action of a menu.

In Scenario Editor, select the last cell of your menu track. Then in the property browser at the bottom, set "Cell Still Time" to 1-254 to have it pause at the end for 1-254 seconds or set to 255 to have it stay there forever. Your buttons will still work.
