After reading all the posts I determined that i have a unique problem. When i first used the Big 3 guide, i successfully backed up "Lost In Space" to a 4.7GB dvd. However, now I am encoding Drive-Thru Records DVD vol. 2 and have had a lot of trouble. The DVD is NTSC interlaced with 52 VTS's.
The main problem is that when I open reauthorist after using ditfast4u, it doesn't detect any audio streams in the audio stream box. I didn't notice this first time, so i ended up with exactly 4.7GB of video and no audio. When i go to any of the VTS folders, in the place where the audio stream would be extracted, there is no filename extension, and the title was cut off. What i mean to say is instead of it reading "whatever etc - AC3 - 0ms.ac3" it reads "whatever - etc - AC3 - 0ms -" and just gets cut off at a certain point. It has a really really long filename which made me think that it ran out of room. These wern't acually what the filenames were like, but it just looked like for some reason the filenames created for DTRDVD2 were longer.
But first of all, i don't know why the filename would be longer for this DVD, and there doesn't seem to be a way to change something in the options of doitfast4u to control how it names the file. I tried just adding the file extension.ac3, but that didn't help, i presume because i don't know the rest of what the filename was supposed to be before .ac3 . PLEASE HELP ME!
On another note, (this isn't as critical), i mentioned that it was interlaced. the only way i could get rid of the lines when something moved on screen was to add the two lines to the avs script as it says in the guide. but now instead of lines, there are momentarily little dots of the color of whatever moved. I don't consider this a big deal since i don't get interlaced dvd's very often, but if you know why, let me know.
