im currently using cce2.5 and i was just wondering if the newer versions were any faster or gave better quality results?

I didn't mean they should be removed, I'm just wondering why such combination - not CCE 2.64 and 2.66 or CCE 2.66 and 2.67 BUT CCE 2.50 and 2.66?

Most likely because 2.50 was a tried and true version for many years and the demo version can process .ECLs. And 2.66 was the last non-beta release. Demo versions of 2.50 and 2.66 are no longer available at the Cinemacraft web site.

I think the latest 2.67.23 is not beta any more - at least I could not find the word beta anywhere in the readme or history.txt.
Now we just have to wait for the next release of D2S...
