View Full Version : DoItFast4U "Field Order could not..."

I'm trying to backup Austin Powers Goldmember. It's a PAL DVD and while using DIF4U 1.4.0.0, it gives me the following error: "Field Order could not be determined! Maximun tries reached." In Global Options/Other Options i've checked Header Flags. Checking Frames Diagnosis results in the same error. Checking Off results in having no .d2v files so there isn't a .avs script created. Where does it go wrong?

that doesnt make any sense. There's always a .d2v file...

Not here for some reason... Using the "Off" selection it says: "No D2V files found! Aborting this VTS." This happens after step 2: Creating DVD2AVI Projects. The problem occurs only in VTS 3.

The only thing I can think of is that you tweaked some DVD Decrypter settings somewhere.. it's obviously not demuxing any video files for some reason.

You should try ripping this manually, as a check, use smartripper or another program just to prove you can get the files.
Have you ripped as an iso file first and mounted it to a virtual drive using daemon tools? (as recommended).
Doesnt look like the disk is corrupt, but they can get damaged easily.
Revert back to dvddecryptor 3.1.7 or something, uninstall your current version and leave it at the default settings when you put it back on again.
I did goldmember some time ago on older revision software at the time, no problems.
Let us know how you get on ripping manually.

I always rip it as an ISO file and use Deamon Tools. Using an older version of DVD Decrypter (3.1.7.0) resulted in the same failure. I haven't changed any settings in DVD Decrypter besides removing the PUO's. I tried using DVD Decrypter 3.1.9.0 and then demuxing them myself using the IFO mode and it came out fine, so I can access those files. But here's the nice part: Demuxing them myself resulted in a 100MB .m2v file and a 3.5MB AC3 file, while using DIF4U resulted in a 10MB .m2v file and a 0.3MB AC3 file.

Does nobody have a solution/explanation for this? I've also encountered it with another dvd (Boat Trip) where it also ripped only a fraction of the whole vob and came up with the exact same error message.

nope, I did Boat Trip R1 (keeping every extra, and the killer menus) and it went just fine.

hmmm... I finally figured out a solution. By correcting the original ifo's using ifoedit, it somehow seemed to work. I don't know the ins and outs, but I'm happy to finally backup these dvd's.
