Hi, I have a strange problem with avs preview. Sometimes it displays really messed-up video, and sometimes all is ok. Avs is opened in old mplayer, I didn't touch the file myself.

I can post a small picture here to show what is happening, if someone needs to see it. And here are the lines that are _not_ commented in the avs file:

LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\mpeg2dec3.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\PROGRA~1\GORDIA~1\undot.dll")

mpeg2source("D:\temp\matrix2\matrix2.d2v")

crop(2,82,716,412)

LanczosResize(592,240)

Undot()

I am using the mpeg2dec3/dvd2avidg combo provided with gknot.

What do you mean by 'sometimes'? The same video-file sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Or sometimes you get a video-file that doesn't work.

If it is the latter case, you probably forgot to decrypt the data on the DVD to your harddisk (or there is some region code problem). Check if you can play the VOB files correctly with windows media player. If you can't, then that's your problem. btw, is your video looking all green or something?

Sorry, I wasn't precise enough. The same video either works, or doesn't work. I am talking about the situation when I encode one movie without any problem, and on the next one I am getting garbled preview, but the encode process still works. The final movie is just the way it should be.

I have no idea why this happens. It happened before, it happens sometimes, I didn't find a pattern yet.
