View Full Version : DVD2AVI No video frames processed?

Hi!

I'm a newbie and I have been browsing the net, but no luck with my problem.

I have tried to make a .d2v -file with DVD2AVI 1.77.3 using VOBs and it seems to only process the audio track. At first couple of times I used it, the processing took about 45 mins. for 90min. movie.

Now it takes 5 mins. for the same movie and the video frames are not counted on the status window.

Then when I open this d2v -file in TFAPI 1.05 it does not show any processing prosentages as it did before. It goes straigt to "finished".

I've been using GKnot now and it can use that d2v -file, but the "Show Input/Output" options are useless. There is no picture.

The thing why I am asking this is that I've tried to use Xvid w/ GKnot and failed, but got lucky one time with VDub.

Has anyone had this kind of problem before or what could cause this?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you have used an IFO parsing ripper? Do you get the correct audio file?
In my experience it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to produce the correct .d2v file, but that does depend on your computer. (CPU/HD?)

Open the .d2v you got in a text editor (like notepad) and post the first 20 lines or so here. (FAQ Q07&Q08 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59272))

I have used DVDDecrypter IFO parsing and I get the right audio file.

My CPU is 2.06Ghz P4 and 160Gt SATA HD.

Everything seems OK to me. You sure you have a version of GKnot that supports v1.77.3 D2V?

I have GKnot 0.28.7 and the TFAPI also cannot make an .avi file from the d2v-file.
