Hi!

How can I force Media Player Classic to use AC3Filter? When I play content that has AC3/DTS, or indeed anything, it uses Intervideo Audio Filter and seems to be passing Stereo through my SPDIF port. (I have a Aopen AW850D Cobra sound card).

I tried the Options -> Filters section and added AC3Filter and told it to prefer it, but it still used Intervideo instead.

Untick the unwanted options in view->options->filters section of MPC.
In your case uncheck ac3/dts decoding options. Hope that helps you...

Thanks..

Can anyone confirm if AC3Filter can understand DTS?

I don't seem to have anything being played on my receiver from a DTS soundtrack.
