Is it possible to play a dvd on the computer and at the same time record the same movie on to the hard drive.

Why on earth would you want to do something like that? Isn't ripping the DVD using lets say DVDDecrypter easy enough? :eek:

Anyway, technically you should be able to do it if you have a video card with a TV out and a TV capture card, so you connect the TV out with the video in of the capture card. Highly NOT recommended though... :confused:

Thanks for the reply. There is a software player that plays edited versions of movies and the editing software only works on this particular player. I wanted to run the dvd through the player and save the edited version of the movie to my hard drive to burn later.
