Hi to all!
I'm trying to figure out a way to make a DVD mainly with audio.
I don't have "DVD-Audio" player, so i have to make a "DVD-Video" but only with audio.
First point is, do i really have to transcode the audio to 48KHZ? (I'd prefer not to make any changes in the audio).
But considering that 48KHZ is a rule, let me put my next problems.
My idea, would be to have a menu with a still image that had an audio stream associated.
Then i would make some buttons that would go to another still frame, which had the other music.
This method has a few problems, like, when a music is over it does not go to the next one, or if we want to change the music, we can't just skip the track. (btw, I'm using DVDMaestro, and I always have to put something as an video stream, otherwise it refuses to compile the DVD).
So I thought the best way would be to have a MPEG2 still frame, as the video stream.
So my next question is: is it possible to make a mpeg2 still image to be displayed as long as we want, so that i could divide that display time in chapters? This way, i would for example append all the songs from an album, and then make a chapter division for each music. This would allow me to change tracks.
I think you've figured out my idea.
Note: I'm used to DVDMaestro (never used another dvd authoring program yet), but I'm not sure if it can do this. Because when i insert a still mpeg2 frame in the video stream, i can't tell DVDmaestro that i want that video stream to have the duration i want (that would be equal to the time of the appended audio songs), so i can't make the chapters division.
So if someone can help me out with is, even if the answer is "with another dvd authoring program like... you can", i would appreciate.
