i've had this problem probably 3 or 4 times now, when i am creating a dvd with nero recode2, the dvd wil analyze, encode, and burn fine, up to 99%. then the burn process will seemingly hang at 99% indefinetly until i close down recode. the dvd drive on my comp will still be locked shut (like it is burning) until i restart the computer. the dvd seems to play fine after I restart...

does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

thanks

Is it memorex media? I think it's your media.

If it's the burning that fails/stops at 99%, then it has nothing to do with Recode, the burning is done with Nero.

I'd hazard that Nero failed at the end of finalizing the disk, or perhaps failed to reinitialize after finalizing the disk (i.e. failed while trying to read the disk it just finalized).

I don't have any recommendations for fixing the issue, other than using different software - but maybe a search here or at the Ahead software sight for 'problem finalizing' might turn something up.
