Steal mplayer code (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67928) was not enough to KISS people. Now there are profs of more code stealing (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design6/news.html#kiss03) in KISS firmwares: libmad (library for MPEG audio) and libjpeg.

Sad news for me, and for a lot of you, I guess.

It's pretty tough to say anyone stole code from libjpeg, since it's published under a BSD-like license.

hum, you are right about libjpeg, Itīs bsd and no steal can be done... I apologize :D
And it is only my fault, I just saw mplayerīs page so quickly

Also, how is the mplayer team so sure that libmad was stolen? The MAD site says it's available via commercial license also. I am not saying that's what happened but the mplayer team should watch what they say unless they have solid proof of any violation against another source.

BSD license says you have to mark the original source.

The reason is simple: they didn't license our subtitle reader, so why
should have they licensed libmad?
