Hi,

I actualy have 2 questions, but I think the answer is the same to both, hence I put them in 1 topic:

I'm (re)authoring a DVD which is (non-seamless) multi-angle. Non-seamless because both angles have different audio streams. Both angles have a 5.1AC3 and 2 2ch AC3's. Only the 5.1 channel is different in both angles.
The question is: if I re-author it, is there a way to "save space", by using the same source (data in Scenarist) twice? Or will Scenarist just save 2 copies in the VOB?

The same question for subtitles: I have 2 subtitles. Both english, but english (0x21) has some more subs than (0x20). Can I save space on the 0x21 by using all the bitmaps of 0x20 and add some? Or doesn/t it matter?

As long as you drag/drop the exact same data asset (ac3 stream) from the data list into your track twice, it should use one stream for both tracks. As for subs, you could do two streams exactly alike, but two streams where any part are separate are going to require separate streams. But really, that's just pointless because subs take up 5 or 6 megs usually, not enough to make a difference.
