View Full Version : DVDshrink problem with duel layer

Hello, not sure if this have been covered before but I just noticed that DVDshrink has issues with deul layer dvd's. I just transcoded Jeepers Creepers 2 (50min on first layer and 54min on the second) to 2.2GIG because I am putting two movies on one DVDr. The transcoding seemed to go ok until I loaded it into TMPGEnc DVD author and it only loaded 50min of the movie 1.2GIG. Anyone seen this before? I used DVD2One and this issues didn't happen.

I recommend you to try recode 2 which I believe is improved over dvdshrink and already removes the layer break like dvd2one.

Well, I remember seeing posts of quality comparison which had put dvdshrink ('s same author of recode2) ahead of dvd2one... I never tried dvd2one. But I find recode2 pretty neat.

DVD Shrink v3.1 comes out in a week or so, and will remove the layer-break. ;)
