Does anyone know how to get Windows Media Player 6.4 (in 2000/XP) to play MPEG-1 VCD and DV-AVI files correctly, especially when in full screen? I need it to play them like Windows Media Player 7+ does, with bars on the top and bottom. THe way it is now, MP6.4 greatly distorts the video in full screen. Everytime I reinstall Windows that's how it is, but eventually it becomes correct, though I'm not sure what it is I do to make it right. However I was recently messing around with filters in Media Player Classic and messed things up, probably the directshow settings. Now I installed a second Win2000 installation with nothing installed so far except Media Player 7.1 and DirectX 9. How can I get MP 6.4 to play the same way 7.1 does?
