As i bring up the file it tells me Cinema Craft Encoder file does not exist. And it wont let me convert becasue of this. What does this mean and what do i need to do to rectify this.

Thanx guys

Hi there. A warm welcome to the forums. This is pretty basic stuff but a noob has to start somewhere I guess, so here goes.

This error means one of a few things
1. You haven't installed an MPEG encoder - you need to install either CinemaCraft Encoder, TMPGEnc or Canopus ProCoder for DVD2SVCD to work. If you haven't installed an encoder you didn't read the guides very well :)

2. You installed TMPG or ProCoder but selected CinemaCraft in the Encoder tab. Go back to the Encoder tab and select the encoder you have actually installed!

3. You have installed CCE after DVD2SVCD bundle and so DVD2SVCD needs to know where it is installed. In the Encoder tab where it says CinemaCraft Encoder 2.5 then has a box, hit the browse button at the end and find the ccesp.exe file. It is normally in c:\Program Files\Custom Technologies\Cinema Craft Encoder\ folder.

4. You have installed an unsupported version of CinemaCraft Encoder. Use the links in the guides for a demo of a supported version.

Good luck
Nick

thanx nick, your info fixed the problem,

but unfortunately a new problem has arrived. As i am converting the AVI, in the LOG tab, i get an error:

Executing Cinema Craft Encoder.
Error cannot find CCE project file.

After this happens, CCE opens and asks me to encode 3 files: a small AVS file, a BMP, and a large AVS file.

Also there are 2 seperate sound files and one video file The sonud files are both the correct length bu the video file was shrunk from 1 hour 30 minutes to 59 minutes. In doing so everything is in fast motion.

What did i do wrong? where are the .cue/.bin files that are suppsoe to appear. the only thing i have are AVS, MPA, BMP files.
