Hello All,
Small problem with my media player
classic. I can play wmv and other windows
media files with my old windows media
player (the real WMP 6.4) but I can not
play them with the new windows media
player classic.version 6.4 7.2 all my codecs work. They fail to "render".
Any Idea's would be welcome. Thanks for helping a newbie.
Gary.

have you tried opening media player classic, then opening the file you wish to play from the open command within MPC, rather than opening the file from within a file browser?

I think you are missing the Windows Media DMO codecs.
Download (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=06fcaab7-dcc9-466b-b0c4-04db144bb601&displaylang=en)
If that doesn't fix it, then also install the Windows Media 9 runtimes (http://pcastell.free.fr/Microsoft/wmfdist.exe).

Hi.
These WM9 codecs are available only to genuine Microsoft Windows users. This is just for information.

Just wanted to say big thanks to clsid.
I was trying to sort this out for a few days now but no luck.
@ukb008: availability for genuine users... doesn't interest here
because you just need the wmfdist.exe to solve the mentioned problem.
