If i got 2 files of subtitles - srt (lets say cd1 and cd 2) - but only 1 video file - is there anyway to join those 2 files to 1 ?

Shift times in the second file, save it, than append recently saved srt file to the end of first file. I'm not sure about appending but all the rest can be done in Subtitle Workshop. Since srt files are just plain text you can use Notepad from windows to append files.

for SRTs i would probably do the shifting of the second file in subrip corretions->time correction. And the appending like RobertR with notepad . If you don't like the restarting index number, open the combined file in subrip again and it will recount the indexes.

I think you can try using SubResync in VobSub.. after you open one file, click open again and tick the append box. Then "Save As" a new file.
But I have another query here.. let's say I have the subs for the whole movie. After I split the movie file into two parts, how do I split the subs? Can I use VobSub Cutter?

Split the video file, so that the 2nd part of the video matches the 2nd subtitle file.
Then, mux each SRT file into the corresponding video file, and then join those video files. Assuming that your video file is AVI or MKV, you can do that with AVI-Mux GUI

But I already downloaded Subtitles Workshop and it does the job as well..
But thanks for the reply! :)
