Break burning due to problems while reallocating DVD Video files..
This is the ouput from ImgTool when I load the final project. The original disc had VTS_06_05 and VTS_06_6 but the final only goes to VTS_06_4. Did I update the ifo files wrong?

Don't think so. I'd recommend using a non-NeroAPI version of IMGTool though, like version 0.91.

I actually have the same problem with Nero 6..
I backup for the first time The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly and Nero complains about DVD reallocation & needing VTS_01_05, Original has VTS_01_01 thru 08 and backup only goes to VTS_01_04.
Backup plays perfect on PC but always fails Nero compliancy check.
Is this just to be expected and vobs need to be run through imgtool before burning or can I fix it to make 100% compliant VIDEO_TS Folder?

I always ignore Nero's compliancy check, haven't run into any problem yet (PC+standalone)

Yes I can ignore it too, but it gives me the nagging feeling that something is wrong with my reencode and I am a perfectionist...
I am trying to discover the fix to renumber the .ifo to lesser vobs!:scared:not just ignore it!

Try making the image with IMGTool 0.91 and then burn with DVD Decrypter. That's how the seasoned Big3 pros do it! :p

I also used a transcoder to back up this movie and the resulting ifo loaded without error, so maybe I will just put on my reading glasses and try to find the discrepancy between the two. I guess if it is good enough for you guys then it will be good enough for me, too.
If I do manage to fix the reallocation error is there any interest in my posting how to do it?

I started the project over again from scratch and it worked out fine the second time. The only thing I did the second time, that I didn't do the first is update vts before burning. I am using nero w/out any problems. I've tried to use IMGTool 0.91, but I get an error from mkisofs tools.

Please describe the error given by mkisofs...
Have you checked your IFO files using Ifoedit? I prefer a "Get VTS sectors" before every burning. If Nero or ImgTool Burn gives you such an error, there is definitively anything wrong and I strongly suggest you to fix this to get a DVD Video compliant disc.

In IFOUpdate, make sure "Transfer VTS_C_ADT Table" is checked.
