I have ripped a 2 channel audio track, and I'm wondering what the best 'channel mode' would be to use in OagMachine (converting to Ogg Vorbis)

I'm guessing it should be 'stereo' but I've seen surround2 used in some guides.

If the original track only has 2 channels, it absolutely doesn't matter if you use "stereo", "surround", or "surround2", because: These modes only differ when downmixing from more than 2 channels down to 2.

Do you have a "Dolby ProLogic" (or "~ II") compatible decoder in your A/V receiver/amplifier? Then you shall use the appropriate surround mode when downmixing e.g. 5.1 AC3; but if you have 2.0 audio on your DVD, it doesn't matter which mode you set up (as long as it's not "mono").

Yeah, sure... I think I read that in the AZID documentation.
