Splitting ac3 to mp3 by title

Does anyone know how to spilt a *.ac3 file into seperate mp3 files by title. I have a concert dvd that I would like listen to on my mp3 player, but I am not sure how to go about taking the ac3 file that dvd2avi created and transform it into seperate mp3 songs. It seems like there would be some program that could use the chapter information and split the ac3 file up. Please help.....

Hi,

you need ChapterXtractor (comes e.g. with Gordian Knot) to get the chapter info from your IFO file. Then this software can generate a BeSplit command line for you. BeSplit can then split your AC3 from the chapter info into smaller AC3 files. You can batch encode them to MP3 by using BeSweet and BeSweet GUI. All necessary files and tutorials can be found on DSPGuru's homepage (http://dspguru.doom9.org).
