What can't you figure out? What's not working?

hi,
have you tried: control panel -> sound&audio -> advanced ?
have you tried to install ac3filter (ac3filter.sourceforge.net/) ? Then configure: control panel -> ac3filter
are your jacks in the right place plugged in ?

When I play them on my DVD player and yes I hear the click on my kenwood and indicates that it's dolby digital, but the effects are not there, you know the zooom booom and zippp sounds, it sounds flat the same sound is on every channel "FLAT"

Sounds like a source problem, not an encoding problem. If your source doesn't have surround effects, you won't be able to get it to sound like a professional movie soundtrack without professional audio equipment and engineering.
