View Full Version : Strange problem with Womble chaning aspect ration of edited video

I record TV shows with IUVCR using a DC10+ card so the native format is MJPEG. I convert them to MPEG using the Mainconcept encoder (seems faster than TMPGENc and has no apparent sync problems)

I then remove ads using Womble. While Womble can edit the MPEG files fine, I have noticed every now and then (this is PAL 720x576) the resultant video file has changed aspect ratio from 4:13 to 16:9 (apparently). Yet if I just pass the entire MPEG2 file into Womble with no cuts, the AR remains the same. This is a bit strange - any thoughts on this?

Thanks

Larry

I have also seen that Womble change other settings like alternate scan to zig-zag when I check the edited video in bitrateviewer. So I don't use womble any more, I use m2-edit pro instead. But the edited mpg in m2-edit pro is too big so I have to demux it and then remux it with bbmpeg and then everything seems fine.
