I am doing Moulin Rouge. When I watch the ripped vob's in PowerDVD, I get ZERO interlacing. When I watch the vob's in Media Player Classic, I get interlacing, and I also get interlacing in DVD2AVI? Can anyone explaine here. Is PowerDVD maybe doing its own de interlacing? I would doubt it.

P.S. I also turned the internal Mpeg2 decoding off in Media Player Classic to see if it was the filter's fault, still same thing.

Not sure if it's really a DVD2AVI problem, but anyway: What does the statistics window (in DVD2AVI) report for the portion of video you described?

One other possibility is that the fields have been inverted and that PowerDVD detects this and corrects it before displaying the video. Have you tried that switch in DVD2AVI?

If you could upload a short clip (10s) of the video where the problem is noticeable would also help.

To the best of my knowledge, software DVD players deinterlace. This is probably why interlaced content doesn't show artifacts in PowerDVD.
