I have a 5-DVD box (10 hours music) with Pavarotti concerts that I want to create audio CDs from.
No problem demuxing AC3 tracks and converting to MP3, but the problem is of course that I get one really long track (that won't fit on a cd-r).
Does anybody know of a good tool that will take a big audio file as input and either split it into appropriate tracks automatically (based on applause since it's a live concert - no silence breaks unfortunately) or at least provide a good and fast UI for doing it manually ?
Doesn't really matter what audio formats are supported by the tool as long as I can convert it to wav or mp3 at the end. My target format is 10 or so audio CDs, so for the sake of simplicity, Nero accepts MP3 - but anything else will probably work fine as long as I can make an audio CD.
I've played around with Audacity, but it doesn't seem to help very much (as always, could be me not understanding the app of course).
