I want to rip a dvd so that I can burn it to another dvd. But whenever I try to use DVDdecrypter it gives an error "Interface thread Runtime Exception message=EAccessViolation" and it won't really read the dvd. It reads other dvds but not this one. Can I use smartripper for this, I've been unable to find any guides. Or does anyone know what I can do to copy this dvd.

Sometimes a dirty or scratched disc will give an error like that.
What mode are u using in Decrypter? I've ripped dozens of DVD's with it and have yet to encounter one it wouldn't. Try one of the guides available online to make sure you have the settings right.

Looks like I get a twofer here, so, "Welcome to the both of you guys!." :)
Here's a link to the ripping guides. www.doom9.org/descrambling-guides.htm
DVD Decrypter, SmartRipper, and vStrip are featured on that page.
Good luck!

Thanks guys it turned out to be a very odd problem. When I start the program it would instantly error out and not allow to choose a mode or anything. But when I put in a different dvd and switched it from IFO to ISO mode than it works just fine. I don't know why and I figured this all out about thirty seconds ago.
