View Full Version : Replaygain problem with Corevorbis?

I recently upgraded from the Tobias DS filters to the corevorbis set (since this was generally recommended for mkv playback) and I noticed that ogg streams with track and album gain tags are no longer amplified. L_Wing gain tags seem to work... but not the other (which I have always used) tags. Does anyone else know anything about this? I would hate to have to downgrade back to Tobias, but now a lot of my encodes sound really quiet.

CoreVorbis should currently support LWING_GAIN and POSTGAIN tags.
What are your other tags ?

My common tags are:
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK

album gain isn't necessary (since it would involve choosing between the two types of gain). Examples of these two values (on the vorbis stream I was testing).

=+32.97 dB
=0.01365306

Let me know if support could be included. This works under Tobias, but not corevorbis yet.

Check the new version 1.0b6 :
http://corevorbis.corecodec.org/

Now it reads and apply the REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN tag.
At the moment there is no fancy stuff like different playing profile (album gain, track gain, preventing clipping using peak value ...)
